Dates
- November 30, 2009 - Early Bird Deadline for ABEM
Certification Examination application, $100 application fee, and $850
examination fee.
- December 31, 2009 - Deadline for ABEM Certification
Examination application, $200 application fee, and $850 examination
fee. Deadline to request (in writing) a refund of the examination
fee.
- February 1, 2010 - Date by which independent
experience must be completed to sit for the 2010 ABEM Certification
Examination.
- February 15, 2010 - Deadline for receipt of all necessary
references and other supporting documents for the 2010 ABEM Certification
Examination application.
- February 22, 2010 - Notification sent to all 2010
ABEM Certification Examination applicants regarding eligibility for
the examination.
- April 23-24, 2010 - ABEM Certification Examination
in Chicago, Illinois.
- May 24, 2010 - Date by which 2010 ABEM Certification
Examination candidates will receive notification of examination
results.

The Certification
Examination is designed to enhance the quality of patient care
through the voluntary certification process and thereby serve the public
